Transportation in Fruita
Fruita is less than a half-hour's drive from Walker Field, Western Colorado's largest regional airport, and is adjacent to I-70, US 6 & 50, State Highway 340 & State Highway 139.

The Grand Valley Transit System provides bus transportation for Fruita residents. The Fruita shuttle leaves every other hour starting at 6:20 a.m. (8:20, 10:20, 12:20, 2:20 and 4:20) from the following locations: Fruita Civic Center, The Willows, Independence Village, and the Dinosaur Journey Museum. Buses going to Fruita leave Mesa Mall every other hour beginning at 8:05 a.m. (10:05, 12:05, 2:05, and 4:05). From the Mall location you can catch the Circulator which runs the downtown Grand junction route or another shuttle to Orchard Mesa, Clifton, Palisade or the Airport. Nearby Grand Junction serves as terminals for Amtrak and Greyhound buses. Taxi services are provided by Sunshine Cab, 970-245-8294.
